Story Summary

Project Silence is set in a fictional post-world war city of Black Water. The city is rife with corruption, crime, and political intrigue. Our main protagonist is a former soldier who came back to the city to find it being run by ruthless mobsters and corrupt officials. We find out the character's motivations over the course of the game as they navigate the crime-ridden streets, recruiting allies, and taking down enemies.

Players will explore various locations within the city, each with its own unique atmosphere and challenges. The story is driven by the player's choices and actions, which will determine the outcome of the game.

Tone and Themes

The tone of Project Silence is dark and gritty, with a focus on stealth, action, and questionable moral choices. The game explores themes of corruption, power, and redemption, as the player navigates the dangerous world of Black Water. Back Story

Our story begins with own of our protagonists, a young man, down on his luck and desperate for a way to 'make ends meet' in the city and help out his family. He finds his way to a local bar where a shady man gives him various jobs to do. These jobs range from simple thefts to more complex heists. The young man proves himself to be a skilled intelligence gatherer and master of disguise, and is soon recruited into a group of professional thieves who operate in the city. Their motivations are unclear at first, but as the story unfolds, we learn more about their pasts and their reasons for doing what they do.

Plot Outline

Act 1: Setup

The young man, named Bobby (a.k.a. The Kid), is recruited into a group of professional thieves who operate in the city. His role in the group is to scout out locations, gather intel, and report back to the team. As he completes various jobs, he begins to gain the trust of his fellow thieves. We find out that his sister is unable to work due to illness and he is the sole provider for his family.

Act 2: Confrontation

As the team completes more heists, they begin to attract the attention of the local crime boss, and the threat to his operations they pose. The team must navigate more and more dangerous situations as they try to stay one step ahead of the mobsters.

It isn't until later in the story that we find out the truth about Bobby and his loyalty to the team. Bobby returns to his sister to find mobsters in his home, at first it looks like they've found him, but then we find out that Bobby was approached earlier by Don Mangione and forced to report the teams movements. The Don was using the young man and the team to take out his rivals in the criminal underworld, but now the team has outlived their usefulness and the Don wants them all dead.

Bobby's sister finds out about his betrayal and pleads with him to help save the teams lives. Despite his betrayal, Bobby decides to help the team and his sister escape the city.

Act 3: Resolution

Bobby and the team prepare for their final heist, to steal the ledger from the Don's mansion. Bobby's role, given to him by the Don, is to disable the security systems and let the team in and allow them to steal the ledger. The team successfully steals the ledger and makes their escape. Everything looks like it's going to plan for the team, but as they make their final delivery to the client, the safe house is raided by the mobsters. Part of the team is captured, but the crew has a few more tricks up their sleeves.
