He's usually the only one who can keep Arturo in check, and the Don recognizes that his loyalty to the family is unwavering.

Background

Vincenzo Fratelli was born in Black Water in 1918. Growing up Vinny was always a bit of a troublemaker, but he was always loyal to his family and friends. He was always the one to take the fall and/or always the one to get them out of trouble.

He earned the nickname "The Butcher" because of his ruthless nature in a fight. He will do whatever it takes to protect his friends, and despite his reputation for violence, Vinny is an intelligent and cunning individual. Few people have seen him in action, but those who have rarely live to tell the tale.

Relationship to other characters

Vinny is a close friend of Arturo for most of their lives. They grew up together in Black Water and have been through thick and thin. Though recent events with the Mangione family have put a strain on their friendship. Vinny is caught in the middle of a power struggle between Arturo and his brother Giuseppe that looks to boil over into the streets of Black Water.
