Planning The Heist

Introduction

Planning the heist takes place at the crew's safe house. The location of the safe house changes with every heist, and it's up to the player to find a suitable location that won't draw too much attention. Once you have all the intel you need, it's time to start planning the heist. This involves creating a detailed plan of how you're going to get in, what you're going to steal, and how you're going to get out.

Systems Overview

The player will take on the role of Dante, the crew's leader, where his ability to visualize the location based on collect data (like pictures, blueprints, etc.) will be crucial. The player will be able to move around the location, marking points of interest, security measures, and potential obstacles. The player will also be able to assign roles to their team members, and play out the scenario in real-time, with the player controlling team members one at a time.

Risk and Reward

The scenario plays out in real-time, with the player controlling team members one at a time. However, like all well-laid plans, things rarely go expected. You'll take control of your crew member to deliver an item to the VIP room to create a distraction, but perhaps you're spotted by the head of security and can't make it to your specified location. You'll need to think on your feet and adapt to the situation, as the clock is ticking, and you'll need to make your decisions quickly. Maybe you'll decide to send in your femme fatale to seduce the guard, but doing so would mean that she's not available to create a distraction later on.

This is how intel gathering becomes crucial in these cases. The more time you take to find all potential angles, the more prepared you'll be for the final heist.
